Monica
W. Vernon - President
Monica Vernon founded
Vernon Research Group in 1987 after serving as a market
researcher and consultant at the international
research and consulting firm Frank Magid &
Associates. Vernon received her Bachelor of Science
degree from The University of Iowa, and her M.B.A.
from the University of Iowa Graduate School
of Business where she currently lectures as
an adjunct professor of marketing at the University’s
Entrepreneurial Center.
Vernon is chief strategic designer of all custom
research projects at Vernon Research, and coordinates
project development among a highly skilled staff.
In addition, Vernon personally conducts many
presentations on top-line findings, conclusions
and recommendations from Vernon Research Group.
Her background and experience in market research,
strategic planning and management, communications
auditing, product and services development,
sales and public relations provide a broad
knowledge base from which to offer rich insights
and valuable perspectives.

Cooling

Wes
Cooling – Business Development Manager
Wes Cooling joined the
firm in July 2007 as Manager of Business
Development. He brings his experience in
business-to-business marketing and project
management to Vernon Research Group.
Before joining the firm, Wes worked for a national
financial services firm. While there, he was
responsible for assisting clients with a variety
of services.
Outside of work, Wes is a volunteer for St.
Pius X Church and involved in the Young Leadership
Society with the United Way of East Central Iowa.
Wes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing,
with an emphasis in Sales and Advertising, from
the University of Northern Iowa.

Jennifer
Schaefer – Research Coordinator
Jennifer
joined Vernon Research Group as Research Coordinator in
2008. Her responsibilities include tracking the research
team, designing custom research methodologies, analyzing
results, and forming conclusions and recommendations
based on the most significant research findings.
With her background in public policy and nonprofit
organizations, Jennifer brings with her extensive
experience working with nonprofits and local governments
in the area of research and evaluation. At Vernon Research
Group, she feels compelled to provide companies and
organizations with information and tools that can change
their products and services.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University
of Southern California in International Relations and
History. She also holds a Masters of Science from
Carnegie Mellon University's H. John Heinz II School
of Public Policy and Management.

Logue

Cyndy
Logue – Operations Manager
Cyndy Logue
joined Vernon Research Group in 2005 as Manager of
Operations. Cyndy's responsibilities include financial
system management, business standards and continual process
improvement, and general project support of the Vernon
Research Group operation. Cyndy ensures that the company's
operation is properly managing associate relations, revenue
assurance that includes client billing and accounts
receivable and payable, project management, data collection,
and information technology.
Cyndy's previous professional
experience included nearly 20 years at MCI in Cedar
Rapids. During her tenure at MCI, Cyndy performed in
numerous roles that prepared her for her position at
Vernon Research Group. Within MCI's Commercial Billing
Group, Cyndy worked successfully as a Systems Security Analyst
and Administrator, Software Engineer, System Test Analyst,
Division Administrator, and Director's Assistant. The
Commercial Billing Group was an organization of 800 people
spread across four states that supported one of MCI's most
profitable market segments.
Cyndy studied Software
Engineering at Kirkwood Community College and has taken
numerous additional classes in technology areas, business
process, project management, and general business administration.
